1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using steaplab.io ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site (at least 16 in the EU/UK). By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. About the Site

Steap Lab is operated by Steap LLC ("STEAP," "we," "us") and provides informational wellness tools and editorial content. The Site may reference products from STEAP (steap.com) and link to third-party sources.

4. Not medical advice

The Site does not provide medical, nutritional, or professional health advice. Content is for general informational purposes only.

Tools such as the Verdict Engine ("Does your tea break your fast?") offer general guidance based on publicly available research and common fasting frameworks — not personalized medical or nutritional recommendations. A "verdict" is not a prescription.

Always consult a licensed healthcare provider before starting a fast, changing your diet, taking supplements, adjusting medications, or making other health decisions. Do not delay, disregard, or reverse professional medical advice because of anything you read on the Site.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — text, tools, code, graphics, logos, design — is owned by or licensed to Steap LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view and share Site content for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. You may not copy, modify, distribute, republish, or create derivative works from Site content without prior written permission.

"Steap Lab" and "STEAP" are trademarks of Steap LLC.

6. User conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or other accounts.
  • Interfere with the Site's operation (scraping, denial-of-service, etc.).
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Harvest user information or otherwise violate others' privacy.
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code via the Site.

7. Third-party links and services

The Site contains links to third-party websites and uses third-party services (including Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Klaviyo, and Vercel). We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms.

8. Advertising and commerce

The Site displays Google AdSense advertisements. We do not control which specific ads appear.

Some links on the Site point to Steap LLC's own products (e.g., Golden Glow at steap.com). Purchases made through these links benefit Steap LLC directly; there is no external affiliate relationship. We clearly label such recommendations.

9. Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STEAP LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Steap LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, a notice on the Site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
